A
Night in the Country Music Festival started as fundraising
idea for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Mason Valley in 2002.
The first year generated about 900 concert goers with the
Club not making a profit this first year. The concert was
not a success in terms of dollars but it did help build
a foundation for future years to come.
With the help of our friends of K-BUL 98.1 FM, who have
been with us from the very beginning, and numerous loyal
sponsors, we have moved this event from a one night concert
to a two night music festival.
In 2009 the event saw 8,000 people attend
the festival, selling out on the second night! The two
nights now include four top named national recording country
music artists. We now offer onsite dry camping for RV’s
and tents.
Also located at the event are several
food and beverage choices, which may consist of our local
service clubs such as Lions, Rotary and Soroptimist.
All proceeds of the concert, other than
the concessions, benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Mason
Valley who are dedicated to ensuring that our community’s
disadvantaged youngsters have greater access to quality
programs and services that will enhance their lives and
shape their futures.
